Excellent nights rest

Stayed one night in a double fan room. Room was lovely, plenty of space, big windows. Hotel has a wonderful balcony style area to hang out at with free tea and coffee as well as newspapers and a few books. Bathrooms are shared but there are plenty and they are kept clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Typical colonial structured building. Just behind the Taj Palace Hotel in Town with easy access to the most tourist attractions in Mumbai... Comfortable rooms, decent service, good on pockets.Enjoyed my stay here.

Nice locality

I had an great experience with Carlton Hotel colaba it's near to Mumbai CST Station and Chacchgate station. hotel is based in colaba behind the Taj Palace Hotel Rooms are specious neat and clean. food was testy and amazing. there are lot of place to hangouts.

Great budget hotel!

Lovely and friendly place on a perfect central location in Mumbai. Beautiful building, colonial style. Rooms are cosy and clean with confy beds and free wi-fi. It has a lovely common terrace, perfect for a morning cofee, which you have for free. Very kind and helpful staff will help you out with just about anything you may need. This place is great me and a few friends negotiated a good price for what it is old but well kept. The staff are amazing and very polite helping us with whatever they could. The cleanliness of the shared bathroom was great (being hesitant to share at first) . The location is very central and not a too long walk from some great tourist attractions. Would deffinatly stay here again when I return to Mumbai concidering all other accommodation is really expensive.

Much to love about the Carlton hotel. Awesome location, and one 20th of the price of the Taj across the road (but 20 times the authenticity of service). Room was basic but clean and quiet. On arrival our shower didn't work properly and Raju the manager made sure the shower head was completely replaced by the next day. Despite temperamental hot water, the friendliness and helpfulness of Raju compensated for any shortfall in the room. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Raju was eager to please and meet our every need. We were booked to spend our last two nights in Mumbai at a 5 star hotel, but cancelled and stayed at the Carlton instead. Certainly no 5 star proxy, but it was a very pleasant and fitting way to spend out last nights in India.
